The music on this album was written during Spring/Summer of 2012. Part I is influenced by texts and photos describing the Japanese internment camps that were established during WWII in North America.

Part II contains excerpts of an interview that I conducted with a gentleman who lived in the Poston War Relocation Center describing his life before, during and after his time in the camps.

The music is only one part of the "Shikata Ga Nai" experience, which also includes a lecture and discussion about this era in American history.
