When I was young and didn’t know any better, all I knew about Yoko Ono was that she was responsible for the breakup of the Beatles. As it turns out, she actually had made quite a career for herself in the Flux scene, working with notable experimental music folks like George Macunias and John Cage. (It wasn’t until years later that she would break up the Beatles.)

Rather than just performing the work, I wanted to put my own spin on the work and manipulate the voices in some way. Using electronic processing, I’ll be altering the recorded sound of the two vocalists’ screams, stretching and chopping bits up until I feel satisfied. Hopefully Ms. Ono won’t mind.
